Not all devices can stand the test of time and remain popular throughout the years, we see a lot of vape kits come and go due to the fast-moving nature of the vaping industry and the development of new technology. But there are some kits that seem to have longevity, like The One Kit, as well as the super-popular PockeX Kit by Aspire.
Aspire is a well-established brand that is known for creating high-quality vaping products. Recently Aspire have released a sequel to the PockeX Kit - the PockeX Box, and fans of the original are wondering, how does the PockeX Box compare to the PockeX? Well, we are going to give you all of the details to help you understand whether this kit is for you.

What's The Difference?
Clearly, by looking at both kits, you can see that their designs are completely different, the PockeX box has a box mod, giving you a comfortable hold, as well as a durable and long-lasting experience. The PockeX kit is much sleeker with a metal pen-style exterior, so it is compact and will easily fit in your pocket making it great for vaping on the go.
Both devices are aesthetically pleasing to look at and are super easy to use, there are a number of similar qualities with both devices which keep them in fitting with the series, however, there are also a few notable differences.
They both use different charging styles, and the PockeX Box features some much-needed evolution with its Type-C charging, compared to the PockeX Kits USB charging system.
When filling the Pockex kit, it has a very traditional style, similar to filling some older sub-ohm tanks where you need to remove the top cap to refill, whereas the Pockex Box can be filled through the convenient sliding top for easy top-ups.
Both kits have differences in airflow, the PockeX Box has improved airflow thanks to the fully adjustable airflow ring that allows you to enjoy your vape your way, easily twist it to let it more air, or close it for a more restricted throat hit. The PockeX kit has a top airflow that cannot be adjusted but this allows the device to be compact and give you a fixed airflow for the perfect throat hit every time.
The Original PockeX has 1500 mAh battery and the PockeX Box has a 2000 mAh battery allowing you to vape for 33% longer without needing to charge.
The Pockex Box has smart recognition, which takes into consideration your chosen coil and adjusts the wattage accordingly. It also contains the new Aspire ASP chipset which provides:
·Vaping overtime protection
·Short circuit protection
·Overheat protection
·Low voltage protection
·Overcharge protection
·Over discharge protection
This protection is great to keep you safe when you're vaping, it also protects your kit by stopping your battery from overheating, and preventing your coils from burning, ultimately adding longevity.
What’s The Same?
Both devices use PockeX coils X U-Tech coils where 2 resistances are available, DTL or MTL, so you still get a similar taste, vapour production and throat hit, or use them interchangeably.
The PockeX Box comes with a tank that has a simple top filling system, and an adjustable airflow ring.
Both kits have an internal battery although you get 500mAh more power with the PockeX Box. But their charging styles are different. The PockeX Box allows for 2A fast charging with its Type-C cable, whereas the Aspire PockeX features Micro-USB Charging that takes up to 4 hours to fully charge.
Both devices come with free e-liquid, the Aspire PockeX kit comes with a 50:50 PG:VG vape juice and the PockeX Box comes with 50ml shortfill e-liquid.
Which Is Best For Me?
Any existing PockeX fans will love the PockeX Box. It offers a similar throat hit, vapour production and great flavour, but the PockeX Box gives you more customisation and an easier top filling system makes it an improvement on the original PockeX kit. Its robust exterior may appear to be a drawback at first, but when using it, and experiencing its sheer durability and longer-lasting battery life you will fall in love with it.
Both devices are simple to use, deliver a strong throat hit and give you great flavour out of your e-liquid. Both kits can be suited to beginners and advanced vapers.
The PockeX Box can suit people that know what they want out of a device, something super simple to use with some customisation with awesome results with every inhale.
